Nori chips

What is "natural" exactly? In today's terms people seem to define the concept in many ways. Here are a few USDA approved meanings:

  • Does not contain added color
  • No artificial flavors
  • No synthetic substances
  • Minimally processed

The above standards do not give me the greatest impression. My gut instinct says the vague terms allow companies to skirt the real issue of food quality. Three long-time friends and business partners decided to define "natural" differently. Founders of Think Paleo Diet believe the term "all natural" fits wellness best.

"A Paleo Diet is based on the 'all natural' principle: consuming foods that were available to our forefathers during paleolithic times. We should consume natural foods that can be easily found in our environment." - Think Paleo Diet

The key to a successful paleo lifestyle is choosing food that come from the Earth. If that concept is taken a step further, choosing foods that were available in the Paleo Era, or prehistoric Earth, avoid any unnatural processing. Eating a peeled carrot from a garden is all natural, while drinking carrot infused protein shakes are not. The current food supply is cluttered with toxins and chemicals. A distinct link has been shown between Paleo lifestyle and increased wellness. Think Paleo Diet has a vast offering of tasty Paleo recipes. Drop by and try one tonight, the ingredients are simple and available.
